Project
Local delivery of protein therapeutics offers many benefits such as low dosage frequency, minimization of off-target effects, and bypassing of biological membranes. However, current encapsulation-based delivery systems are prone to denaturing proteins and often suffer from low encapsulation efficiency. My project involves synthesizing and characterizing novel synthetic nanoparticles for use in encapsulation-free strategies for controlled protein release.
