Project
My project is focused on a rare disease called Lymphangiolieomyomatosis (LAM), which is a slowly progressive lung disease that involves growth of a smooth muscle-like cells into lung tissue, resulting in the development of lung cysts. I am interested in using an engineered hydrogel as a tool to investigate the crosstalk between LAM cells and immune cells in vitro and ultimately to identify new therapeutic targets for LAM.
