Project

The main focus of my research at the Donnelly Centre is to develop treatment strategies to promote tissue repair after spinal cord injury. The complexity of the CNS and its response to injury dictates that the latest advances in bioengineering and macromolecular chemistry have to be implemented in the design of treatment strategies intended to promote CNS tissue repair. Therefore we intend to deliver stem-cell derived cells within hydrogels to the injured spinal cord.
